H. Joseph Cronen is an experienced litigator at Charny & Wheler.

Mr. Cronen is admitted to the New York State Bar. In addition, he is admitted to practice before United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Mr. Cronen graduated with a B.A. in History and Politics in 2004 from Ithaca College. In 2011, he graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law with a Juris Doctor. While in law school, he was awarded a Presidential Law Scholarship and a CALI Award for earning the highest grade in Comparative Law: Middle East. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Steven González, who started a four-year term as Washington State’s Chief Justice on January 11, 2021, when Chief Justice González served as a judge at King County Superior Court in Seattle.

Before joining Charny & Wheeler, Mr. Cronen litigated on behalf of employees, represented victims of police misconduct, and handled personal injury lawsuits.

A passionate advocate for workers’ rights, Mr. Cronen is an active member of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the National Employment Lawyers Association’s New York Affiliate. Before relocating to the Hudson Valley, Mr. Cronen was an active member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association Committee on Civil Rights and Liberties.
